Time to say "Good Bye"

In October 1999 Malc, Jane and two little boys (Will and Phil) moved into the Bay and came to UVBC to lead the youth work here.
Over the past nine years literally hundreds of teenagers have made their way through the Basement which itself has changed tremendously. Malc has been "revved up" but we now think goes even slower than ever! Perhaps that's why he's moving on from youth work and as he says "stepping down the ladder not up" to pastor a church in Paignton.
We sent a roving reporter out to see if Roselands Community Church know what they are getting and from the responses we got, they haven't got a clue! All we can say is be nice to him he hasn't got much hair left as it is, he can't afford to lose any more!

When asked what his lasting memories of their time here Malc and Jane just looked blank, tired and expressionless. It's good t know that we've had an effect on them too.

We asked Malc to share a few simple words with us about his time at UV, this is what we got;

Well done Malc, if you manage to preach to that depth each week you have nothing to worry about as a minister.
On a more serious note Malc finally came up with the following;
"We have loved every moment that we've spent with all of you within UVYouth. The Basement has literally become an extension of our home, with many enjoyable hours spent there each week.
We have been thrilled that God has allowed us, along with a brilliant team of leaders, to to be a part of His work in your lives. God clearly brought us to UV and has now clearly said it's time to move on. We know that the best thing that any of us can do with our lives is live them according to Gods will and His Word. So please keep in touch with us but more importantly keep in touch with God each day. His is the only way worth going!
